Are you feeling stuck with this whole blogging thing?
Do you feel like it’s hard to find others who understand what you’re up to with your blog?
Like people who have been there and can support you and tell you what to do next?
Maybe you know you want to turn your blog into a business, but you’re just not sure how. And it’d be super awesome if you could find a tribe to support you, hold your hand, and tell you what to do next, right?
I’ve been there.
I’ve joined a few blogging clubs looking for community only to find the community was not active or too big to make connections. I’ve bought courses to help me build up my blog and eventually turn it into a business. I bought plenty of eBooks that were great, but then I had to somehow piece all that information together.
What I wanted was a solid plan and a community to help me get through the rough parts. And I didn’t want it to cost $2000.
Strangely enough, that solution was right under my nose the whole time.
About 5 years ago, I started reading a blog called Think Traffic. It was all about building an online business in an authentic (not slimy) way. As much as I believed in Think Traffic, I put off signing up when they rebranded and started a community and collection of video courses called Fizzle.
I think it’s because I was taking a break at the time from the whole blogging world. And I was feeling like I’d never find my true passion.
I thought I had to have all that figured out before I could join.
Eventually I did end up figuring it out and that’s when I started Design Your Own (lovely) Blog. Then…
I needed a community that could help me
It became apparent to me that I needed to start making connections with other people who were starting similar things. People who were already seeing success from their efforts.
Right about the same time, Fizzle came back on my radar. I was listening to The Fizzle Show podcasts with fury and I cannot tell you how much I learned just from those alone.
So I finally took the plunge and I joined the Fizzle community. I immediately wished I had joined sooner! With the Choosing a Topic and Start a Blog that Matters courses, I could have found my passion faster.
With courses like Introduction to Website Traffic, Google Analytics, WordPress Lessons and Accepting Payments Online, I could have gotten up and running faster.
Fizzle has hundreds of video lessons, case studies and any kind of support you can think of. If you need it, they’ll find a way to supply it. That’s how responsive the founders are in their own community.
Is Fizzle Right For You?
That depends. Are you:
- spinning your wheels trying to turn your blog into a full time business?
- still trying to define and connect with your ideal audience?
- longing for people to support your journey or connect with people that travel the world while making a living online?
- ready to kick things into high gear?
If you answered yes to any of these, then yes it’s totally right for you!
I think Fizzle is amazing for a few reasons:
- The community is second to none.
A few weeks ago, I was having trouble with MailChimp and threw my question up in the forum. Before I knew it, I had a bunch of replies with helpful answers. Recently I asked for and got a lot of great feedback on a landing page I’ve been working on.
The community is big, yet still feels intimate. The people are nice and it’s easy to make friends.
They also have weekly live office hours where you can talk directly with the founders and ask for help on anything you’re stuck with. - The course paths are powerful.
Fizzle has a bunch of different types of courses: business courses, writing courses, technical courses, etc. Now they have 6 direct paths you can take depending on what it is you want to learn at any given point.
Want to find a topic for your blog? Ok! Want to grow your audience? Boom! Want to build and launch a product? You got it! - It’s actually affordable.
Yeah, we’re not talking $2000 here. It’s $1 to try it for a month! To see if it’s a good fit. After that, it’s just $35/month. Small price to pay for your business huh?
I’m not kidding when I say I wish I had joined much much sooner. But hey it’s never too late and I’m glad to be there now. It’s a vibrant, active and FUN community where you can get answers to any of your blog-business related questions within a few hours.
Why am I sharing this with you?
Because I know some of you are stuck right now. You’re discouraged and you want to know that you’re not blogging in vain.
Do yourself the favor and join Fizzle right now. You can’t lose, it’s only $1. For real! Try out the first month, say hello to me(!) and get to work!
If you hate it, quit and you’re out a buck!
P.S. I won’t lie, these links are referral links which means that (at no cost to you) I get a small commission when you join and stay in the club. But I hope that by now you know I would never recommend anything I didn’t think was totally worth it! And I get nothing if you don’t stay in the club so I’m pretty confident that you’ll like what you see in there and decide to stay.
And here’s a BONUS!
If you sign up by October 31, 2014 (with THIS link) and send me a message from within Fizzle with your email address, I’ll send you a FREE copy of my upcoming book with 50 ways to beautify your blog. Please note, the book won’t be ready until late November so I will send it then. HURRY! Your message must be sent to me within Fizzle by October 31st!
And be sure to let me know if you need any assistance once you’re inside!
I’d love to see you inside! Do say hello when you get there and add me as a friend!
Thoughts? Questions? You know what to do ๐
And please do share this if you know anyone else that’s been struggling with their blog too!

Honestly Marianne. Trust you to take me full circle. I found Think Traffic through Scott Dinsmore at Live Your Legend about 4 years ago. I was thinking of joining Think Traffic but got snipered by something else which obviously didn’t get me the results I was looking for. I ended up joining another group instead that came highly recommended but asked for my money back after a month – it just wasn’t what I was looking for. After that I didn’t trust my ability to make a good decision about the products I was buying. And let’s face it we can’t afford everything!!
Then I noticed Think Traffic was revamped to Fizzle and I thought what the hell is a Fizzle. It doesn’t sound very encouraging.
I have a subscription to an academy that’s coming up for renewal soon and I’m tossing up whether to rejoin because there’s another one that’s catching my eye. They are lovely people and there is lots of great information, courses and resources galore but it feels like I’m in a comfort zone and I need to catapult myself into something else to get some real growth happening. People don’t seem to like to share what they’re doing, they say yippee I just sold out my program but we never get told what the program is. Only thing is if I get out and want to come back in it’s at a much higher price point.
But $1 for the month sounds like a good deal and a month is enough time to let me know if it’s right.
Thanks for an always informative blog post.
Regards
Deborah
Hi Deborah, I know that you mean! Truth be told, I joined a club a few years ago that was pretty good for a while, but it’s become quite inactive recently which makes it quite discouraging. I have thinking of quitting also, but something about the grandfathered-in price i pay keeps me paying every month lol!
Well if you do join in, let me know and add me as a friend! I think you’ll find that most of the people in the group (the active ones) are quite forthcoming with their projects and are happy to answer any questions to help others.
Marianne! Thanks so much for this. Can’t tell you how wonderful it is to hear your story and that we had a small role in helping you take some next steps!
Big love from across the internet.
Hi Chase, my pleasure! It’s been a great experience so far and I am actually motivated to get things done! Thanks for the cute gif ๐
I’d never heard of Fizzle, but it sounds pretty cool. Thanks for sharing! It’s always good to be part of a community that gets you when you’re an entrepreneur ๐
Hi Catherine, very true! Thanks for stopping by ๐
Thanks for posting, signed up today!
Gina yay! Fantastic!! Please be sure to add me as a friend in the forums and don’t hesitate to ask me any questions in there. The only way to get your money’s worth is by participating and asking questions! You’ll find that people are quite helpful and friendly ๐
I have only just found your website and loving it. I am just getting starting on looking at your great tips, thank you. I don’t have much traffic, I am still in family/friend traffic land LOL, and in serious need of a good header and make over. Learning on how to move to worpress.org. I am going to sort this out first, hopefully you guys offer this again soon.
Thanks Julie
Hi Julie, sounds like you have a definite plan and that’s great! Like I said in the post though, i too waited until things were just right to join and i really wish i had joined sooner because it would have made it so much easier to start doing things right and building traffic.
Unfortunately the offer’s only good thru today so I hope you’ll reconsider! Or at least buy the book when it comes out ๐
Great info! As you know I am in a class right now, one that is kicking my bootie! LOL But after that is done I am so gonna check out Fizzle, it sounds awesome! Thanks!
Totally understood Nikki! I haven’t been participating much lately in Fizzle only because of Regina’s course. But I am so glad to be a part of it, it really is a great community on a whole other level.
