I would love help on designing something fresh and new for my blog. It’s been the same for so long now, it doesn’t even excite me to write anymore. I want to start over brand spanking new for 2014, but I’m clueless on how to go about doing that. Any templates I find online never seem to download properly, or fit into blogger properly. I’ll take any help I can get!

    • Marianne says:

Hmmm that’s interesting Phyllis. Can you be more specific with how the templates are not fitting in properly? Or maybe even send me a screenshot?

I love your how to design a custom opt in series. More html/css tutorials please.

  • Amelia says:

I loved your opt in tutorials! It was super helpful and easy to understand, so thank you thank you! More HTML/CSS tutorials would be great! I’d love to learn more on how to design a nav bar with drop down menus.

I look forward to learning more from you and nailing down my blog desin before we officially “launch”!!

      Hi Amelia,
Thanks for the suggestions! I’m so glad you enjoyed the opt in tutorial. So when you say you want to learn how to design a drop down menu nav, do you mean, you want to know the code on how to do it, right?
Looking forward to your launch, be sure to come let me know here or on my FB page when you do! When do you think it will be?

      • Amelia says:

Correct, how to code it. Right now I’m using an image I coded with image-maps but have absolutely no clue on how to code a drop down menu type deal. I haven’t tried looking for other tutorials yet.

I’m hoping to launch within the week. I already have several posts written and prepped to publish, just waiting to get the design down right! I have my opt in form coded and ready to go if you’d like to take a look! thatwhichwecallhome.com.

Best of luck on your future tutorials! Looking forward to reading them and sharing them with friends ๐Ÿ™‚

Unfortunately I won’t be able to get a tutorial done before you launch, but there are lots of tutorials already out there that should help. You can Google “css drop down menu.” Also what blogging platform are you on? I couldn’t see your site, it just brings me to a Go Daddy page. It’s probably not public and only available to you right now.

  • Marianne says:

Fantastic Amelia, it looks really great and I LOVE your opt-in!! I already shared it in my opt-in inspiration board on Pinterest ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s so awesome to see what people have done after doing my tutorials so thank you!

And thanks for the suggestion on a future post, I’ll definitely add it to the list ๐Ÿ™‚

Btw, I am in love with the white dress you have in your Save the Date card! Congrats!

    • Amelia says:

So glad you like it! It was so much fun (and easy thanks to your tutorial) to make!

And thank you! I made our cards on Picmonkey and plan on creating a tutorial on how to do so for others. I have a lot of friends that just got engaged and want to share the Picmonkey love ๐Ÿ™‚
